Hey
I posted a while back on a thread commenting on a power Force vacuum. Someone said they have 12 amp drop in motors for the Everlast and probably other royal vacuums. I was wondering where to find the 12 amp drop in motors. If anyone has a link it would be appreciated. I know royalaire royal/Hoover have a 12 amp.motor for plastic vacuums and backpackpack/cannister vacuums. I'm looking for all metal upright 12 amp. Thanks probably Ben in advance Les |

I believe the 10 amp Drop-in motor is the most powerful motor Royal makes. I own a Royal Everlast 8300 with the 10 amp Drop-in motor and it is plenty powerful and also plenty loud as well.
My Royal Everlast deep cleans carpet better than my Kirby Sentria. I cannot imagine that the Royal Everlast would deep clean any better if it had a 12 amp motor.

Thanks for info.
I had a royal 1030z that had the 10 amp motor. I sold it to a member on here. I tested my sentria and got 133 cfm. The royal tested at 141 142 some where around there. I never used it much. I fixed the bag and got new brushroll shortly after I sold it. I had my 880 running at the time and the 1030 seriously ate up rugs. I have alot of area rugs it would get within a few inches and sheer Force of the brush roll would suck them in and up. I even tried highest setting on height adjustment but to no avail. The 10 amp royal motor is a high performance motor. Les |

Hey
The 235 I cleaned it tried polishing it. The fan has a small piece missing and the carbon brushes are done. The brush roll is gone so is the belt. U was wondering if you have part numbers. I used a power sprayer on the body once everything was taken apart and no electrical left in it. I tried buffing but it has sort of a copper petina. It's rather off but maybe someone can exkolain. It could be added metal since it's 1949. Les |

I asked Kent oyler about the color of metal. He says it looks like adoninized aluminum. It stops it from corrosion and rusting. The only rusted part was soleplate. The soleplate snaps on the nozzle.
The petina reminds me of the 1940s Hoover vacuum. It feels like the non stick frying pans. I wiped all the polish compound and it's shines but not aluminum like the side of a dime color. Weird. Les |
