I bet it would cut down on suction and maybe let the motor get hotter but it probably would do a great job of filtering whatever is getting by your bag or the brushes on the motor.

If you look on eBay you will find what I'm going to mention.
A cold air intake filter. If you find the same diameter it would fit.
K&N air filters you get better air flow. If you use the same concept this should work. It sif you attach one of the cheap fan to cool the air add a filter more power. If I believe his name is Hank who is a diesel mechanic who has a YouTube channel fixing small engines and also a vacuum channel reads this. He could add insight. Im thinking outside the box but I believe it would work.

The cone air filters like k@n is same thing. Just throwing it out there. But a filter like picture may be for a car but cross branding or multi purpose it's the same thing. A filter is a filter and this filter doesn't heat up and improves air flow.
I have a royal ry4001 that takes a similar filter and going to get a filter like this for it. It's different but airflow is airflow is airflow. Your using another vacuum hose it's an apple to orange comparison.
Lol I love stop.

Heyyy
i did not really find any drop in performance if any it must be so small i dont really notice it .
Both hose are made by Comapct Tristar so made for the vacuum they are being used on so i did not notice any drop in performance it must be to small i could response better if i had a air flow netter and did a test of before and after but so far she is a 12 foot hose BEAST!! electric hose at that !

I'm joking around.
I do understand vacuums like the next person. I could prove my point but I don't care to. I apologize Happy Thanksgiving. I went over board and you have been very cordial with me.
I do have a question the two hoses put together on the power head does it lose cfm adding extra length.
Again don't respond to idiocy I did prior. Sorry and I hope you are having a good day.
