Hello. I'm new to Vacuumland and this is my first post. Those of you who are also vintage radio/TV enthusiasts may know me from other forums. I've joined because of a specific problem which I haven't been able to solve.

I have 2 of the excellent Hoover Aquamaster wet and dry vacs. One is from c1994, the other is a little later. The only maintenance I have ever done is replacing the rubber cable strain relief on both and the speed control potentiometer on one of them. They work as well as the day they were made despite having been used for all sorts of nasty building stuff as well as the usual domestic cleaning.

The problem is the hoses. Both are now in a poor state. Gaffer tape has its limits!

Does anyone have a spare hose, know of where to get one or possibly how to fix a new length of hose to the end fittings?

For reference, this is the pasrt I need: www.appliancespares-direc...

TIA for your help.
