MY niece went shopping at some antique store, she call me when she got home and told me since I am in to vacuum cleaners [or sweepers as she call them] she found something she thought I would like,so she brought it.When she gave to me I told her she should save her money since she is still in collage and she said but you have to pay me back.I didn't ask her to get for me but I ended up paying her $60.

I'd be happy to have gotten that for $60.
Especially since it actually works!

Vintage collection

About one month ago my all plastic upright gave up it's ghost. One a hunch , I visited my local Goodwill and found an electrolux 1205 with power nozzle and updated hose. The price was $4.95. I visited my local vacuum store is see if bags were still available.I bought a Royal model 189 from the 1940's for $40.00.After making it all pretty ,I took it back to the store to show it off. That day, they sold me a hoover model 700.That one now looks great.I run the hoover every day. Wow, about ninety years and still works great. All three are great machines.

Some 'gift" that you had to pay for!

But that's Mary Rose, I guess. I'm amazed she even thought of you at all. Def not her usual style.

Well that's... kinda lame. Maybe tell her to just notify of cool stuff rather than buy it on your behalf.

At least you got a cool sign out of it!

Uh...

I would be estatic if anyone thought of me and picked something up like that for me and I wouldn't mind paying for it considering what it is. I think $60.00 is a very fair price considering what it might/would go for on ebay. Enjoy it Joe!
