Cleaning complete!
I also posted this as an update to the existing thread, but I thought it might be better to give it its own. So, here it is. Once again, thank you to everyone for your suggestions. The U4423 is all clean, smelling nice, and back together. I used it on the braided rug in the breezeway, and all went well. I kind of held my breath as I flipped the switch, in case I hadn't put something together quite right. But...no drama! Now that I have this one up and running, I think I'll treat my 4387 to a more thorough cleaning like this one got. Barry |

The pictures do make it look better than it really is.
It's decent overall, but the sides of the hood have some deep gouges from hitting furniture or something. It's like with cars. There's a term, like a "ten footer" or "twenty footer" or something like that. Meaning that it looks great from that distance, but if you get closer, you see all the imperfections. I just installed a Hoover "A" HEPA bag in it. It's the first time I've ever tried HEPA bags in anything. We have so few rugs in our house, I'll probably never fill a bag! Barry |
