I found this beast on CL, the bearings were noisy so I took it apart and greased them. My goodness is thing powerful! It has an aluminum fan in it the size of a dinner plate! I'm clueless as to the year it was made and the model number is obscured.

Thanks for the info! I could see how overfilling the drum could spell trouble for the fan.
I searched around on Google looking for a picture of the NSS Bronco you speak of, but couldn't find any pictures. Could anyone here share what that thing looks like? When you mention external filter vacuums, the first thing I think about is this big Cincinatti dust collector my high school wood shop instructor had attached to the large planar. I think ours was the 200S. It sure was one big vacuum!
