Yes, it happened to me on my first platinum son after I got it.. Mother board went bad. Aerus replaced it free, no questions asked. Take it back to your dealer. |

Glad to know it happened to someone else on here, I figured I couldn't the only one. Just shocked since I hardly use it. To the dealer it goes. |

Yes it is 15 years, if you are in good standings with your dealer they will give good service long after the warranty is up |

I've always held that anything that's made wrong (defective) will show up very quickly. With only two hours of use on it, the defect did in fact show up quickly. In the typical home, this is about two weeks worth of vacuuming - so it would have been taken care of immediately had it been sold to a non-collector. Circuit boards are funny in that they seem to either work forever, or fail right away. Glad Elux has the very long warranty. It takes onto a few minutes to open up a Platinum, and the circuit board is right on top. About a ten minute repair. I'd call and schedule the repair so the part is ready to go when you bring in the cleaner. That way, you could wait for it, and hopefully watch it being done so no scratches or scuffs.

Exactly, as with anything electronics, most defects in the electronic boards show up very soon.. Does no mean anything is wrong with the machine or brand. My aerus guy replaced it less than a half hour. |

That 15+ years is definitely a good peace of mind. Does anybody have any experience dealing with Ray Saterwhite in Va? He seems to advertise the brand quite a bit on youtube, and seems like a decent guy to buy a machine from. |

It's good that Aerus stands behind their products, but still, does a vacuum need a mother board? Pressure transducers? Just more to go wrong. Busy folks do not want to visit repair shops. |

My dealer will pick up and drop off parts and supplies and do the same for machines if they can't fix it in your living room |

That's excellent then. Worth the extra investement for a Lux that won't get tossed in the trash after a few years. |
