These photos are from 1959 when I was three years old and Santa brought me my very own sweeper -- so that, as Mama said, I can stop pestering her to use hers! (Electrolux E-Automatic)

Thank you Charles, and a Merry Christmas to you too.

I've returned to my old fashioned San Diego Christmas, in that I mean the weather here. When I checked the temp it was 60, and raining! Certainly not traditional for Pennsylvania which should be 20 and snow. Still I'm not grumbling, I'm loving this. At least these old bones won't ache from the cold.

I'm wishing all my friends at both the Vacuub Cleaner Collector's Club, and Vacuumland a verry Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

Alex Taber.

Merry Christmas

I actually got that same vacuum for Christmas when I was four or five, and for the same reason.  "So you will leave mine alone."  I didn't.

I hope there are at least a few people enjoying nice weather. It's complete misery here in the Bammy-ville.

I would like to take a minute to remember the friends from Vacuum land that we have lost this year whose family will be with heavier hearts at this time of year when family, friends and loved ones come together to celebrate and remains.

Wishing everyone all of the very best for a wonderful Holiday Season , Christmas and New Years and Wishing everyone an awesome 2016. Do hope that Santa can deliver all of those vintage vacuums everyone has been looking for.

Take care!

I don't know about Santa, but the FedEx and UPS guys, sure have been busy.

I tried ordering through Santa, but he's more focused on the kids toys market, really isn't dealing with antique, North American appliances. Besides with all the funding cut-backs..... Santa's rather limited these days. Apparently, the elves have been given pink slips, or worse yet, 'someone' called Immigration service so Santa wouldn't have to pay pension benefits. Meanwhile Santa's stuck buying premade, chinesse crap from Big Box stores. I think the whole Santa shtick has really run it's course, don't you?

Either way, I'm glad I'm not a kid, and frankly, most UPS or FedEx guys are bit easier on the eyes, if you know what I mean. wink

I want this guy for New Years Eve. Unwrapped and in all his natural glory would be fine with me.

Did you think he was amply suited for delivering the goods?

Brown is delivering a few packages to me, in the next couple of days.

Frankly, I can't wait.  laughing

Big packages can sometimes be a challenge.

This picture is from Legally Blonde: The Musical.  I actually did this show a few years back, and the guy that played Kyle the UPS Man was pretty cute, too.  Type casting!  Not as hot as this guy, for sure, but definitely a cutie!
