The pink G.E., you know where that is now.
The display still needs a lot of work, and yes I did rearange the shelving down one tier, I also plan to get another one for more uprights that didn't make it into the photo shoot. Lighting is also a factor, but at least you see the machimes, more to follow. And this is only phase two, a full restoration of each machine starts in the spring. |

That's a very pleasing arrangement of some great machines! You'll have a lot to look forward to next year. Did I spy a Filter Queen 200 in the first picture, hiding right behind you? |

Nothing like the collection you saw in Naperville, in 93, but these are the ones that I held onto all these years. It's so nice not to have them in storage, or a holding unit. As I said, a lot of restoration, but it was John Lucia who coined the phrase "the kids are home, yay!"
I need more shelving, but 99% af it is there. By the way three are not, the Whirlwind is in a place of honor, my bedroom wall, and both the Electrolux model LX, and Kirby Classic III are in the hall closet. For those who don't know the Whirlwind here it is. It's the oldest known vacuum cleaner, dating back to 1869.It was invented in Chicago, and most were lost in the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Yes, it's a non electric and was hand cranked to work the fan. |
