I have an orange and brown Constellation model number 858. Can anyone tell me the approximate year of manufacture of this machine?

I could tell you if you send it here, with all the attatchments and a few dollars cash. It might take a while.

Your Connie was made from 4.27.70 until 1.24.75. There was an interruption in production somewhere around '71 as they were taken off of the market. The dealers complained so the Connies were brought back until very early 1975. Then as we all know, they came back again in this decade made this time by LG in China using the old Hoover dies.

Convertibles, Connies, and others

Certainly the connies ar great! I have one, as well as four portables. The convertibles (I have many), are real classics, as well as 28's, 29's, 61's, 62's, 115's and the old 300's, "special's" & 700's (I have seven 28's)
A "Revival of the Classics" would be fantastic!

I had a dream that they brought back the convertible but used windtunnel technology with it..it had the see through window to the beater brush and yes it was a beater brush.. with a big inflatable bag.. it was kinda cool.. but I know diehard fans would just want the classic convertible to be arisen..
