A Kirby 500 bag should work just fine. It's a black, heavy cotton without any logo; the spring coil that comes with it will have to come out of the "business end" so you can re-fit it to your Hoover's bag ring. You can see what I did with my Hoover 725 in the attached pictures. | ||

Thank you so much. I am not really someone that paid much attention to this vacuum that I grew up with, but now I realize what a wonderful item it is. You could pull the curtains off the rods with the power this thing has. Hate to see it die because of a part. | ||

Hmm...well, I may be wrong on the kind of bag you need. For some reason I was envisioning your 29 as the old "coffee can" style, for which the Kirby cloth bag would work very well. Not so sure about the one you have; maybe someone else can advise! | ||

29 Is NOT a coffee can, a 29 was similar to a 60, 61, 52 and 63, 634 and a Citation.Bags CAN be found for this. | ||
