Just sharing my two most recent vacs. The eureka I've shown here before and it's the one i'm planing on making a bag for and eventually doing a full rebuild on, and sew, find a bag for. I'm sure I'll Have a hand full of questions when that time comes

The Hoover I just picked up. Model 707. That color scheme... I love it! Lat night I took ti all apart and cleaned it up. Magic erasered a bunch of marks off of it. Cleaned the bag and motor. Looks and rung great.

Two questions on the hoover. After I used the magic eraser on the hood and base it lost its shine. How do you bring that back? Second what do you do to protect these old Vinyl bags? in the corners and at the base it's almost rubbed through and there are a few small holes and the whole thing just fells like a potato chip... like it'll crack apart if I look at it too hard.

It's so hideous, it's beautiful. I have a few. Car wax, furniture polish OR Brasso will shine that plastic.
THat was acheap material bag. Heat (sun, etc) probably made it hard and crisp. It's unusual for THAT bag to get hard like thgat.
They made TONS of that vacuum....extremely popular.
Great motor, no handle grip, snap bag... a little cheaper, but ALL Hoover.
