Hi everyone

The other day I picked up 2 Turbopowers and a Hoover Commercial that were listed on Gumtree. I only wanted the Turbopowers, but the Commercial is going to a friend tomorrow. Anyway, the new Turbopowers are both TP1s, a U2716 ''boost'' and a U2798. They were listed as working, but the U2716 was far from it! The motor was gone, had the wrong belt fitted and the headlamp was long gone. The U2798 however works fine (Just needs a clean out).

Anyway, the other night I decided that I would strip the U2716 down, clean it out, and fix it, and rebuilt it the following day with a new motor, belt and bulb fitted too. She is now good as new, and performs extreemley well! I'll post the pictures of the U2716 being taken apart and rebuilt if people would like.

The U2798 works, little loud but I think that the brushroll bearings could do with changing in the not to distant future. It has only had a really brief wipe over and a bag change, nothing more sofar.

Anyway, I'll post a picture of the 2 together prior to cleaning up below, and if people want I'll post the pictures of the U2716 being refurbed.

Chris

Those are lovely I am busy with a pair of turbopowers myself. If you can and want to try it, Fit a new pair of quality( ie not the cheap rubbish they sell online or at appliance shops Go to a bearing dustributer) 608 rs c3 bearings to the motor and a new fan. Its amazing how much quieter the machine is when this is done.

Wait were these in Winchester, that's where I live? I called the guy last Sunday hoping to buy the boost, he said someone was going to buy these! I'm glad they went to another Vacuumlander!

Hooverjedilord

Yup they were. I've emailed you :)

GSheen

I've got some bearings, not sure if they're genuine or what, but I'll look out for some high spec ones. Thanks for the advice

Chris
