Today we will be taking a closer look at another one of my favorites a late 1980s hoover convertible "Kmart special". This vac is a larger more "modern" version of its 70s,60s and late 50s counter parts modern meaning plastic parts. Not that its a bad thing its still tough and rugged and still has a metal fan where it counts. in some ways I like its styling just as much as the 60s versions. some people would say the decline in quality started in the 80s right before all company's outsourced production elsewhere. I think that couldn't be further from the truth. this thing is one powerful machine Im proud to say if I could-int have a Kirby this is the first vacuum I would reach for the suction is very strong due to its direct air design. The "beats as it sweeps as it cleans" slogan is no joke this thing shakes the dirt out of the carpet you can just feel the floor quake under foot. and the headlight is very bright and the design of the lens reminds me of some sort of visor. note tho the hood must be removed to change bulbs. I made the mistake of trying to pry it out mistaking it for a eureka design. the downside to this machine is that it is a typical upright so mo on board hose to speak of easily fixed with a conversion plate. Which I have yet to find for this late of a model and of course unless you know a guy or know your way around online bags and other replacement parts are becoming harder and harder to find. well thats my review I hope you enjoy feedback is welcome as always. also Just a quick last announcement I plan to launch my new Channel on youtube this weekend I hope You will check it out. I will keep everyone posted Thanks!
