Went across the bridge to Indiana today. It is mine and my wife's 2nd anniversary and we spend it vac hunting lol. A match made in heaven. Got it for $25. Love it! Great machine.

Thanks! I think it will too. The bag is full to the point of almost busting. Even the bag throat is full.

I'm so jealous! I can't hardly get my wife to run a vacuum cleaner, let alone go vac shopping with me!!! That is a great looking Eureka though, it will look great after a spa treatment!

I truly am blessed. She lets me do anything I like with no problem. She supports me in everything. While her true passion is vintage typewriters, she sees the value in old sweepers and knows quite a bit about them. She's found a number of machines for me and actually bought and surprised me with my Modern Hygiene.

That's a beauty of a machine.  Does it have the "Touch Power" switch on the hand grip?

She'd enjoy one of my typewriters, I think

It came out of The HOOVER Company offices!  It has a brass nameplate on it reading, "The Hoover Company".  Can you imagine the letters, etc. that were typed on it!!

You'll see it in my vintage post of "HOOVER Gallery".

Bill, yes it does!

John, I'll definitely look for it and let her have a look as well.

What a beautiful Eureka! The designers really streamlined the boxy motorhead of the previous years, while maintaining the features and performance of the highly rated 2082 and 2042.

I always wondered why Eureka did not continue to use this streamlined "Continental" motor hood with all their uprights into the 1980's. It seems like it was a one-time debut and that was it.

Enjoy your new toy! :-)

Streamlined motor hood...

True! This particular model is a '76. It is a shame they didn't carry them on. I believe there was also a Eureka with a brown continental hood. I don't have one of those, but I believ I have seen them.

Oh wow!

I wasnt aware of the blue version. That's really neat. I believe the brown version had the blender motor.
