Believe it or not, it works, coil the hose on the top rack of your dishwasher,add detergent and run thru the longest cycle,heated drying turned off,,, |

Cleaning hoses that way is certainly infrequent. The bleach in liquid dishwasher detergent gets the white and off white color hoses to come out beautiful. Even Rainbow electric hoses have been washed in my dishwasher to complete cleanliness. But again, they are only run through one time, once they're clean the hose goes into the collection and doesn't have to be washed again.
