I said I wasn't buying any more vacuums, then bought three. 1. Lux Guardian Platinum 2. Vita-Vac 3. Meile S194 Sidestep Now I am not buying any more vacs, unless a stainless Connie shows up. . . |

As the owner of the Vax version, there's velvet like static strip by the open brush roll on the base plate that grooms my carpets in terms of leaving a stripe due to that velour alone.
The bottom release with its weak latch is welcomed in my home. I had the Mach Air corded version where the bottom trapdoor failed to open! Mine whistles from time to time - it might be the rectangular rubber seal connection from the back of the fixed hose meeting the bin at the side at the top. Im not convinced however that this cordless upright IS NOT a deep cleaner. Having vacuumed the floors with the cordless upright removed a lot of dust and then I tried vacuuming with my SEBO Felix and very little excess dirt was picked up. IMHO the Cordless Air isn't that well built but it is no different to any one of the cordless uprights on the market, maybe aside from the Bosch Athlet cordless upright. |

The Hoover Air Steerable is a corded vacuum, at least on this side of the pond. The cordless version is the Air Cordless I believe. |
