Hi, I found a complete electrolux 2101 with floor waxer pads. I an thinking of getting it, as my old two brush GE scrubber doesn't have the wax pads, and I want something that gets the job done a little better. I don't have the budget for and Advance, and don't really want a big machine. Will this machine buff waxed floors well?

'if' & 'but'

Yes,as above, a 3 brush Electrolux polisher can do a great job(much better than a 2 brush). But,from actual experience I would add in the case of the smaller Canadian 2101-IF it well cared for with relatively little use and IF you can verify that all 3 brushes turn properly and the motor will run continuously as the cordwinder cord(if it has, some wound cord on 2 hooks)is moved in & out to test condition of electric contact rings.
Of the relatively few sold in this area compared to the larger B-9 & Floor Pro I have seen more than expected problems including-
Stripped plastic gears where metal motor shaft turns against edges.
Stripped brushes where the 4 tabs at center match with 4 notches to hold brush in place.
Loose contact rings in cordwinder causing motor to stop & start or just stop.
Troublesome trigger mechanism on tank(only used for shampooing).
This could a good buy on a good polisher for lighter duty use on small to average floor areas,BUT for great quality, nice floors and long dependable life I would look for a B-7 or B-8(again hoping for no abuse or damage).

Crud

I already bought it. It's for our main living area. One big room that combines kitchen, dininging room and den. Big open room approx 25 x 45. I won't be using it to spot clean carpets in bedrooms, as I will use the 2 brush for that. We live in a ranch house with oiled floors. Lots of tracking in, so I want to try keeping them buffed. I've decided against waxing. Just think I'm going to keep the floors oiled and polished. Hope it will be ok. Thank you.

2101A

This one looks good, very complete and shows little,if any use.Having cord hooks eliminates any potential cordwinder problem.Folding handle makes it easy to store(always remove brushes first).Remember some simple basic tips for hard floor care--good door mat to catch dirt, use a swiffer type mop frequently and vacuum with suction and floor nozzle with good bristles maybe weekly to remove grit AND never, ever loan cleaning equipment!I think you will like 3 brushes compared to 2.Good luck and happy cleaning.
