Your 375 is pre-ww2 and has a (genuine Hoover) replacement bag. If it were original the words would be underlined in red One point - it is ESSENTIAL with hoover cloth bags that there is no dust or dirt left in the bag before storage as it will rot them and indeed I would remove them altogether when the cleaners are not in use. Great collection by the way, I wish I had that much space in my loft Al |

Cheers for the tip Al, a few do need vacuuming out. I replied to your comment in vintage, I thought those looked like wide wheels on the front! Still, won't grumble! Bought another 4 machines home just now, will get them on the thread! |

You should never inflate the bag of a 262 (or 160 or 612) with the handle in the upright position as it puts more stress on the base of the bag, this goes for the "coffee can" models too - if you ever see any older Hoover manuals the handle is always in the intermediate position when using tools etc. Sorry to sound like an old fogey, but I am sure you would not care to see your lovely cleaner devalued. Now you have the 262 bag cleaned a good compromise (and cheaper than a bojack) is to simply get a Senior/Junior paper bag and put it inside the bag, with the mouth of the paper bag protruding a little from the opening of the cloth bag. Fold the paper bag back on the opening and secure the cloth bag as usual as you are good to go as all the dust will be caught by the paper bag. You might not get quite the inflation but you also wont get the dust leakage either Al |

Its bigger than I realised. A lot of work to do too so going to try not to add more to it until they are sorted But that never happens, does it! (Trying to ignore the U1100 on eBay ATM) |
