My brother in Florida's partner is in Anaheim, California (about 40 minutes s/of L.A.) to run in a Marathon Sunday morning.

Today (Saturday) Arlee and I drove down there to visit him. We had lunch, shopped at about a half-dozen thrift shops, and had dinner.

Arlee and Michael had lots of fun clowning around with the clothes, and we all had fun in Daiso, a Japanese variety store.

At a Salvation Army thrift store, I found a really cool, retro-inspired, all-metal Hunter 10" electric fan for $10.00 and a full carton (20-count) package of genuine Electrolux bags. I'd say I got quite a bargain on the $47.00 bags, especially since the $2.19 price was cut in half to $1.10 because everything in the store was half-price today!!

I rub across many genuine Lux bags and I usual snatch them up when I do, saves me money on my Electroluxing habit lol. But seriously, they are ways a good enough price that you'd be nuts not to grab them if, like many of us myself included, have a few Luxes that you love using.

Lux Bags!

I buy every package I find at thrift stores ETC, one of these days they will be discontinued, We all thought GE canister bags would always be around too!

Same here, Hans. Style C bags have been obsolete in terms of Electrolux models for 20 years now. It's just a matter of time before they stop making them.

When it comes to Electrolux bags,

I like the Hepa style C bags made by Perfect in my Silverado.  They are a little pricier than normal Electrolux C bags, but I think they are worth it.

I like the Perfect bags, and I also like Tacony's Hepa cloth bags. However, both of these types of bags are expensive, especially the Tacony bags (which, per Tom Gasko, are no longer available at Tacony but at vac shops as DVC brand*).

As long as I can continue to get genuine** Electrolux four-ply bags for a couple of dollars per package of 24 (or more), I'm happy. I can afford to change the bag after each moderate to heavy vacuuming job and not feel bad about doing so.

Whenever I see them on eBay, I buy them if the price doesn't go up too much. The most I've paid is around $7.00 for a 100-count carton of them, with free shipping! I've saved up about three dozen packages so I'll be good for quite a while.

Besides, I do not have any household allergies so Hepa filtration is not an important consideration.

-------
*I just did some googling and found that Sears on-line sells "Crucial" brand cloth hepa bags [made by Perfect] for the very good price of $26.99 per dozen with free shipping. See link.

** Actually, the four-ply bags branded as DVD, AirPlus, EnviroCare, Filtrete, Rubbermaid, etc. are the same exact bags as genuine branded Electrolux bags -- Electrolux hasn't actually manufactured their own bags for many years. Call me quirky, but I just like using the Electrolux-branded bags!
