Excellent find does it need much doing to it?

My first Heritage two was a trash find. I worked for a Grounds Maintenance company and whilst strimming this particular site I happened to notice this Kirby outside of a house amongst a load of other tat, So I knocks on but get's no answer I didn't want to just take it just in case I got into bother so I left it. Two week's later we turns up again and it's still there, So again I knocks on and again no answer. So another fortnight passes and third time lucky the chap answer's and Gladly give's me the Kirby, I get's it home thinking that it would be Knackered especially being exposed to the elements for at least six weeks and to my amazement it was in perfect working order, it was a bit grubby but nothing a few hour's hard cleaning and polishing didn't sort out, So I was a very happy Chappy indeed and that's been my best find to date.

So lucky!

Heritage II's are very hard to find around here. The people who were going to buy Kirby's already had a Classic III or Heritage so they didn't feel a need to buy the Heritage II.

This is by far my favourite vacuum. I can't wait to see it polished.

Very good George - does it work well? better get busy with the aluminium polish and plenty of elbow grease.

How many Kirbys do you have now? I've got 4, and all of them together cost me under £100 ! its amazing how cheap you can pick up an old Kirby for and many of them never get much use either due to being pressure sold to old people who then found them too heavy and shoved them in a cupboard for years.

Hi there guys- yes it does indeed work- as does the headlight which I was really pleased at! There's no visible damage to it- the fans fine, no rips in the bag or the cable, even the cord clip on the back of the handle is intact!!
I have 2 Kirbys currently however I used to have a Tradition too and am getting (fingers crossed) another heritage if James lets me lol.
Here is a pic of it on its first run!!

Also, that's one of the finest Kirbys ever made - lighter and more nimble than the Generation series, more powerful than the previous models, and a nicer color scheme than the Legend II. Plus, you can use the newer bags, or at least mine can.

Even if you can't use the Gen 4 and 5 bags, you can buy a Bag Reversion kit from GoVacuum for half my weekly coffee budget ($15.)

I'm going to be doing that soon for my Heritage. Beautiful machine I got for $8. I don't think I posted any pictures on here but it basically came in the same condition this Heritage II came in.
