Here is my tired Sanitronic with its ugly conversion bag, this was a curbside find many years ago,Its been in the garage for a while so I decided it deserved a little fixing up since it still runs like new,I spent about an hour or two cleaning about 42 years of dirt and mildew off the original cord, someone epoxyed the handle at the bottom.

The first thing I thought is it needs wider wheels,so I brought a parts Heritage 11 up from the garage and one thing led to another, the whole Micro Matic adjuster and wheels fit perfect, and the back wheel with their axle also fit without any problem, the belt lifter was a little difficult, but it finally went one, here she is modeling the red heritage bag,I got tired of buffing so just put it together so I could try it out.

Still needs a lot of buffing and the front bumper guard painted black

one more

The rear wheels remind me of a Royal. they make it very stable and balanced, I would never do this to a pristine Kirby, but in this case I think its an improvement. Mark

Mark (swiveltop),

Well, regarding getting a bumper to match the rest of the trim on your updated Sanitronic, you could buy a 140484 or 140485 bumper and trim it to size. Also buy two 140869 bumper rivets to secure it to.

Regarding the back Heritage II wheels, I am wondering if you added the 103584 spacers so as to accommodate them?

Looks great! I don't like those F & G conversions either. Here's my Classic III with a Legend II bag.
