I found a really nice Hoover Convertible Model 32 at an estate sale. It's in wonderful condition; however, it's not a machine I would collect, particularly since it doesn't have a headlight.

I've listed it on eBay and hope some of y'all Hoover afficionados will want to bid on it!

There's a link to the listing below the photo, and then in another message I'll post a link to a short YouTube video.

(Note: There are lots of photos In the listing!)

Model 32 Hoover Convertible Special

Very nice! The 32 and 34 were my hardest to find Convertibles with proper bag.And then I went to an indoor yard sale(now gone) near one of our good flea mkts and found the 32 almost as nice as yours at a low price. But I didn't think it was made till 1969?Any Hoover collection should have a Mo 63 or similar,Deluxe and Special 2 digit mo number Convertibles and earlt DAM.Hope it finds a good home in which to "beat, sweep and clean".

What a find! The 32 is the only special Convertible I'm missing. I'm sure it will bring a small fortune the way the bids are already building up. Oh well the hunt is part of the fun of collecting.

Rugsucker, re "1962-69," I am going by information posted in Vacuumland by a former member who is a Hoover Expert. If you search the archives you can find the posting. I know very little about post-150 Hoovers, so I have to rely on those who are well-informed.

I have a Hoover Production chart that runs up through the 31, just before the 32.  Production of the 31 ran until 1959.  The 32 wouldn't have run longer than a year or two after that.

Well, "I stand corrected." I don't think I can change it in the listing now, but I can add a comment to it.

And maybe the incorrect info in the forum should be changed as well, lest other naive babes in the woods [insofar as Hoover is concerned!!] get misled as did I! See link ... I will say, upon re-reading that posting it occurred to me that maybe 69 is a typo and should be 60. But what do I know?¡

I had it marked down as 59-62. Not 100% sure though.

I'm not sure if you'd be interested in it or not, but some time ago Hoover sent me a PDF owners manual for a hoover 32, if you don't have one, I would be more than happy to share it with you so you could pass it along to the vac's new owner at auction end! Let me know.
