I rented one of those a few years back from the riccar dealer out in Dickinson ND it seemed to do a pretty good job, but man they are heavy.
It has a large cylindrical brush underneath that has some pretty soft brushes. I can't really compare it to the rug doctor or big green as i've not had a chance to use them side by side but i can definitely say it was the heaviest of the three and if i recall it does not have a removable clean water tank which makes it a pain to drain. |

thanks for the information. I did see a dry cleaning device, but the carpet washer/extractor seems to either be abandoned or for commercial users only. CLICK HERE TO GO TO ralph123's LINK |

The Riccar/Simplicity shampooer is a large unit, like a Rug Doctor. It was modeled after the Rug Doctor. The dirty water tank is on top. It holds three gallons of clean water. Like the Rug Doctor, it was designed to be pulled backwards. And like a Rug Doctor, they are fairly expensive (about $500). Many dealers use it as a Rental unit, rather than sell them.

Hello Tom, Is the price you mentioned a missprint (i.e. $500)? At the link given, it gives the msrp as $1600. CLICK HERE TO GO TO ralph123's LINK |
