Fantom lightning. This was found through the minneapolis craigslist they were not willing to ship, so I asked a friend of mine who was headed to the cities pick it up for me. The airflow is not as good as i had hoped the suction motor is not in the greatest shape either. The wand comes loose so it's secured with tape.
I may try to replace the motor with something else had anyone else done that and what did you use? |

Lindhaus Activa Platinum. The vac shop acquired this from a door to door dealer. As far as i can tell the only difference between the platinum and regulars activas are the speed control, and the clear covers. I actually traded him my grey activa as well as a windsor versamatic for this machine because i really like the clear covers.

I finally got my hands on a Tacony Tandem air vac. A friend of mine who works in a vac shop sent me this model it's a slightly older model that was used as their store vacuum for some time. It's the 2nd to TOL I've been trying it out and i'm quite impressed with it so far. The hose power isn't great but the agitation is powerful and the airflow seems good i haven't had the chance to do some testing and comparisons though.

If you'd get a little more sleep you'd have time to put Fred through his paces :P
I really feel Tacony has hit it with the clamped agitator paired with the gold bristle brushes. If anything, you can mess around with the three combinations of agitators I sent you and compare the black to the gold, clamped to the non clamped. And that vac is sorta between TOL and #2 spot with the way I put the filters together. All you are missing is the Larger Hepa on the outside, Multi-Tool brush and the dirt detection light kit. But, at the time that machine was made, it was Riccar's TOL. The Radp didn't come out until the rad.8 was released I believe. I'm still thinking I need to send you a Brilliance too :-) |
