There are lots of great individuals here. I've been to England and Ireland 3 times. One of these times, I PLAN to hopefully meet some of our members from across the pond.
John.

I feel the same way, well, almost the same way. We are a pretty vivacious group and quite sprightly in our effervescents. We try not to wear our hearts on our sleeves, and you my ask us why? Because, we have them rolled up - always working hard to make our vacuums look their very best. We are always seeking, always searching for our new acquisitions. We few, we merry members of the VCCC most warmly welcome you and yours, and without neglecting most importantly all of your vacuum cleaner needs(Just make sure it's a Kirby, or a really old Eureka) just kidding...welcome to the club! Calem

I agree Will, it's such a great community here, and friends here lead to friends in the real world :-)

If you ever have a question about vacuums, there will be someone on here that will know, and if they don't, they will find out for you.

Enjoy VacuumLand!

Joe

I plan to go to the U.S at some point. My main fear is that I won't come back!

You must just be DYING for a SLAP!
Actually, I'm a 'nasty person with a NICE streak'. Well, I've been called CRAZY...and, it wasn't the good way.

You might not want to go back? then we'll find a nice place for you.
John.

On the subject of actually meeting people in person, it would be good if we could arrange some gatherings in the UK some time. I have never actually met a fellow vacuum cleaner collector.

Robin.

Robin, we've tried to arrange a mass UK meetup before, but it never takes off. Nobody seems to be all that bothered about it. I certainly don't mind arranging such a thing, maybe at a hotel somewhere that we can all meet at, but I'd need ideas of numbers before I could start to arrange anything. It would obviously need to be in a major UK city that is easy for everyone to access, the obvious choices being Manchester, Birmingham and London (but the latter can get expensive).

Venues

Perhaps it would be best to confine venue discussion to one thread, however I would suggest avoiding Manchester, Birmingham and London altogether but certainly look for a venue in the Midlands or perhaps a little north of there which should make it accessible to the most number of people and should allow a venue and accommodation of more modest cost
