Joel,

Unless I am reading the serial # wrong, your HII was made in November 1989 according to the serial # on the fan case. If the serial # is correct, then this would really be a Legend II with the HII black trim parts on it.

Very nice picture

I love grass and I love vacuums and I love lawn mowers. Kirbys are well built but they're not Toros, Husqvarnas, Scags, Bob-Cats or the Ferris 61" ProCut below. So just as I wouldn't take a picture of my lawn mower in my living room, I wouldn't put one of my vacuums on the grass. I don't know can you get grass stains on agitators? You know I'm just playing Joel!!! :) Cool

I actually used one of this model before too. I tried it with the miniature head and the larger head and liked the miniature head better. I can't say I loved it cause its not a power head canister but it wasn't bad.

Glad you're enjoying your Kirby, the gleaming sunlight on the chrome looks nice.

As its a Kirby thread...

Hi Guys
This arrived today, will take pics tomorrow- the serial # indicates it was made in Plant 3 in June 1989.....It was kinda pricey but is every bit as minty as it looks....
Seamus.

I think its kinda strange Kirby used parts from an older model when it was rebuilt- maybe the customer was given a choice........
