in the US as the 'Shark Navigator'. They sell at auctions i go to for about $8-$40 each depending on:
how many you buy, the biding competition, whether the box is included, & which of the various models of the basic vacuum platform is up for bid, "professional", "Deluxe", etc. These are store returns & often are missing an attachment or two. You can test the vacuum before the auction starts & find any missing attachments from a large supply of spares...which is also up for auction! This vacuum has a rather narrow cleaning head & spare parts are pricey or unobtainable, that having been said those that use these vacs seem to be happy with their purchase. The newest model here, the "Rotator" looks about the same but comes with a more sealed filtration system & a wider cleaning path. |

I've had my Morphy Richards lift away for a couple of months now and really like it. I was pretty shocked the first few times I used it how much dirt it pulled out of the carpets, especially as I vacuum every day. The lift away function is a real boon, makes above the floor cleaning a lot easier that a conventional upright with a hose. Was a bit disappointed in the hose it's self, not very flexible, but after a few "stretches" it does loosen up. Maintenance is a breeze, I just was the foam filter every week in soapy water, the felt filter underneath hasn't got a mark on it so hasn't been washed yet. I would never pay what M/R were asking on their website (£199.99) but got it off Amazon for £100 cheaper. What I also like is every part of the machine is replaceable and all available on the M/R website. However, was a bit disappointed that belts and brushrolls are not available, you need to buy a complete new floorhead.
Over all though it's a great little cleaner, great for pet hair too, my cat seems to be shedding his body weight in fur daily at the moment!!! |
