well i went to an estate sale and saw a kirby...i wasnt sure about it because the price was $90. well i went back this just passed saturday and it was still there, so i ask the woman if she would be open to tades for the kirby, she said yes it depends and that she will call me wendsday...well i took my dyson dc21 demonstrated it for her and she said...looks like we have a deal...i was sooo happy to get this model.
i was cleaning it up last night and reached into the sani pocket to find a little bottle of odorific.
it came with all the original attachments, a new belt, and all of the original packing...i dont thing that the hose has ever been used.
the bag needed a good washing so i did that and gave it a little bit of hand polishing with some rubbing compound....OH did i mention it has a brand new never been used SHAG KING!!!!! omg lol ...its a great vacuum...very loud though. nothing wrong. just all the air flow

update....

...so the reason it was so loud is that the safety switch was stuck in the high speed...is this common?

Westen,

Yes, that could happen. If that is the case the safety switch should then be replaced. It is available from Kirby under part #134380.
