I want to know if they are Hoover Celebrity brochure scans. If so, I would like to if they are any from Celebrity II, Celebrity III, and Celebrity IV. I am a fan of the Hoover Celebrities. I have been interested them since I was a teenager. I have a blue Hoover Celebrity QS. I would just like some help on this matter. Please?

How About This One

A Picture of the Day.  I love Celebrity's as well.  Have the Deluxe Celebrity II.  Bought one new in Chicago (at Polk Brothers)and gave it away.  Finally was able to scrounge one up and put it back together.  Great machines!  I am keeping this one.  The link is a shot of my machine in the basement.

I love the term "Tool Garden" in the ad on the first one!
I had a green Celeb. 4 with the chrome top for a few yrs, and it was an excellent vacuum and fun to use. I wanna say it was from around 1984?

I think that vac was maybe TOO powerful tho because the bags kept bursting, and not because they were over full,,i was really careful about that.
The only way that vac would NOT cause the bags to burst was to keep it on the "LOW" setting.
I wish these vacs would have had a better filtering system, that Celeb. i had, did blow alot of dust out of the exhaust, but this was back in the days before the Hepa or thicker filter paper bags.
I remember the PN on that Celeb. was excellent, and groomed the carpet very thoroughly and left a deep grooming pattern in the carpet.

i have my s3199 celebrity for 30 years and still cleans my second floor beautifully through two german shepards and two cats....i always used and still use genuine hoover type h bags and i have never run the canister on low speed and i never burst a bag......my dimension S3633 NOW 23 YEARS OLD WILL BURST AN M BAG IF YOU VACUUM THE BATHROOM RUGS DUE TO THE USE OF BODY POWDER....TAKES THEM RIGHT OUT

have my S3201 Celebrity since last summer. used genuine Hoover H bags & had to make a motor filter. heres a pic. of inside.

Foam filter made from A/C filter media & HEPA motor filter made from a HEPA bag. This set up results in a better filtering system.Preventing dust, mold, pollen,
Ragweed, spores, & dust mites from being blown out from the vacuum.

with motor filters off. Don't use these vacs without motor filter because these protect the motors from any dust & dirt that these bags miss.also prevents damage should the bag burst. replacement filters are NLA for these models and hard to find. how to make motor filter is to take a foam A/C filter, cut into a strip that covers the openings on plastic motor casing, make a cut to clear housing at back, then glue filter media into a sleeve. if you want better filtering, you can use a hepa bag made the same way.

CompactElectra, that Celebrity is GORGEOUS!!! I would love to have one of those. My parents had one growing up. But by the time I ever saw it, the original power nozzle had gone bad. They got it replaced with the red headlight equipped Guardsman model power nozzle. Same style just red trim and it says Hoover Guardsman.

This vacuum and its power nozzle are LONG gone from my parents though. Probably since around 1992. It was a neat vac but I never got much use to really give it a good try. I never got a chance to use the vacuum with any power nozzle on it.

Here's a good one

I recently picked up a rather beat up Celebrity III Deluxe at the scrap yard. Most certain it is model s3137 from the brocure/picture. Thing is, it does not have a power nozzle port on it. I would have sworn by that model or at least for it being as deluxe looking as it is, it would have a pn plug. But there is no hole or wiring for it anywhere! I thought I had a picture on my phone to upload, but either way it is badly oxidized and the tool caddy is missing. But it runs nicely and at least the cord rewind works. Disapointed at not having a pn port, because that's the only way I'll use a canister (unless it's a Dirt Devil Can vac)
