I am currently taking on re-assembling my Lux Super "J" motor.

I totally stripped the vacuum a few months ago, and tore down the motor. I got the local vac shop to put on a new main bearing in the motor.

I now am starting by re-assembling the motor.
I do have my ipod pics I took while I tore the motor apart to refer to.
This is the first time that I am experiencing putting a vacuum motor back together from scratch.

I may need some assistance in the process, so I was hoping to get some assistance if I need some.

Is there anyone here on Vacuumland who has re-assembled a Lux Super "J" motor who I could call upon for help?

Thanks

Brad.

You may want to check with Nathan Thomas (electrolux-dude) on here, or look back through the archives. Once upon a time I remember him posting a how-to on rebuilding a Super J motor and he is very knowlegable on them. I may even have saved that somewhere. If I have I'll look it up and post it for you. Thanks!

The Dude

Nathan is the man to seek out. He has a post somewhere on the site about it. I'll look for it when I return from work for you.

Brad,

I had to do a google search to find it, but here is the link to the old archived post where Nathan gave a good in-depth explanation on how to rebuild a Super J motor. Hope this helps!

Steve
