I got my new gem today from UPS. I have always wanted one of these. I found this on ebay for cheap. I can not believe how quiet it is compared to the other dirt devils I have owned. This grooms the carpet amazing too!! Sorry the pictures so big. I can't make it any smaller.

Gorgeous machine. Glad you like it. Can you post a pic of agitator cavity whenever you have a chance!! I'm curious.

That is a stunning example! I see these at thrift stores from time to time, but they're usually trashed and/or incomplete. Congrats on your find! I think those were made before DD took a dive in quality and reliability.

I was holding onto this one for a friend that now has changed his mind on it. I have it posted on Craigslist Indianapolis for $30

massagemiracle,

I'm not your friend anymore considering you blocked me. No need to get made about me not buying it. I wish you the best of luck in selling it in your area! I just couldn't get myself to pay more for shipping than I am paying for the vacuum. Ifi t would've have been $5 less than the price I agreed to pay for the vacuum, I would have bought it for sure no questions asked. Again, I am very sorry. Starryblues4u, that Dirt Devil is a great machine! My Uncle has one just like it at his cabin. I wish he would sell it to me. He has had it for many years and as far as I know it still runs. Those were one of Dirt Devil's best vacuums. And they are fairly quiet too. Sorry for ruining the thread and rambling about the other one. Congrats on your find though!

ultra cool to have an ultra mvp

I have always loved these. Couldn't believe it when I was given one for free from the vac guy that usually takes months to decide to give me a vacuum, and that's after he knows it's beyond repair. but my ultra mvp only needed a belt and motor bearing. great suction in those things, unlike all other dirt devils. I really wished as a kid they made this thing in a toy size like they did the vision and mvp/deluxe.
