Dyson DC02

Michael,
Thanks for sharing the pictures. Hard to believe someone would use something that dirty in their own home. I bet it will clean up real nice.
I have never seen a Dyson that looks like yours. It looks like the Fantom Lightning and the tools look like Miele copies.
Very interesting machine.

Regarding cleaning the machine before sending, what would be the incentive for the seller to do that?

Indeed Benny, I see none.

You have to remember, the seller would have just seen it as an "old hoover" and been grateful for the sale but felt no compassion towards the machine what so ever.

This is where I should insert my Dyson bashing but won't, partly because of the trouble it gets me in and partly because I just accepted an offer of a free Dyson I'm picking up tomorrow at noon.

May the Lord have mercy on my soul, I've gone against my word. Oh God, what HAVE I done ?

Well, at least I can say I OWN one for when I want to bash it in future, every cloud and all. Ha ha...

Dyson DC02

Wow. I have never seen a Dyson that dirty. I would not think the seller would even want to handle the machine. It must have seen some serious neglect.
Even the inner cyclone holes are plugged up with dirt.

Which came first the Fantom or the Dyson canister?
It seems like I remember those Fantoms from years ago.

Yes Scott, it is I who accepted a Dyson...

My marbles must have rolled further away than usual.

It took me two bloody hours to get the filters and cyclone cleaned out because the previous owner had used it to pick up garden soil!

With a bagged you could just take the bag out and replace it, but oh no, it is a bagless! My Lord...

I already hate the damn thing and shall probably clean it up and just leave it sitting upstairs as an ornament rather than a working vacuum. I really do hate Dysons.

Have you used it yet?, And do you know what model it is?

"Wow. I have never seen a Dyson that dirty." You should have seen my DC04 then when I first got it yesterday.

The filters and cyclone were packed with soil which must have been damp when it was sucked up because it had stuck to everything.

Fantom was the USA version of dyson, they licensed the technology and the dc02

Never been a fan of the Dyson cylinders myself.

Lets be honest though, I'm not a fan of Dysons full stop, but if I had to choose I'd rather have an upright.

Maybe that is just because I'm an upright fan anyway, but I do like some cylinders, just not the Dysons!
