I am posting this here because this machine is well over 20 years old. My gran had one but it was lost when she passed many years ago.

They are extremely   rare here as well and this one was in such bad shape when I got it Its motor bearing were shot and all its pipes are missing. I rebuilt the motor but still need to get pipes for it

Nice cleaner. But 20 years at least? Try 30. These were quite popular here in the UK.

Is it cream or brown tools, just out of interest? The early UK cleaners were cream.

I agree, because this is the style that vacuum cleaners of the 1980's were all moving towards. The late 1970's saw this, with the AEG and Meile machines. In the early 1980's Philips began their own crusade, turning out no end of cleaners in this style. The Electrolux 350 was the first of their UK lines to look like this, and although the 380, 390, and the Supair cleaners still had front-opening end caps, the whole design was more than just a nod towards the current trend & style.

Sorry, I wrote that post before gsheen wrote his. I was basing my words against cleaners sold in the UK. It is interesting to hear that other countries were not yet having this style to the same level.

We definitely had Electroluxes like that in the UK... I'm sure Benny will know what I mean.

Yes, I do, I mentioned some in a message a few before yours. The 350, which was a none UK designed cleaner from what I know (though ours were built in the UK) had the lift-off bag door, where as the 380, 390, and 326 & 327 Supair still had drop-down fron end caps. But they looked no less similar. The 2000 cleaners and later Dolphin all followed this style.

AEG yes my mom had a 509 and yes they looked similar , Philips  too, we had the Electrolux 350E from the early 80's all the way to the early 90's. we also had the slimline models but that it as far as Electrolux goes
