not for noise suppression, then it's a start capacitor....I'm still looking at the wiring. Simple test; remove it and see how the motor runs.

A sound supressor..universal type motors don't need a start capacitor. |

I remove those old interferance resistors thay have a tendencey to short out.with new bearings and brushes your machine should run like new,I have restored many of them machines. |

Made some progress the last few nights... Motor is done and ready to go. Next will be the cosmetic resto on the body. New sealed bearing installed here... |

I decided to remove the "noise capacitor" per recommendations from some fine folks here. Here is the motor, cleaned, upper bushing oiled and ready to go. I hooked it up to a model L plug to test it out. |
