Without taking the motor out, you can't tell how old it is. By 1979 the 502 was being made with one long strip down the front, just like the 504. This one still has the old 500 style box. |

No, that is how Hoover does it. Electrolux used to put a date on the sticker on the motor. But it is not common for manufacturers to put a date on things in general. |

Well I suppose that depends on how good his eye sight is. The writing will be small. Also I cannot remember what year Electrolux started labeling their motors. |
