This GE Roll Easy was damaged during shipping (I think it was packed sufficiently, but still... it's some old plastic!). The plastic around the hose inlet and handle cracked and crumbled - Does anyone have any suggestions on repairing this or has it become a "for parts" machine?

Thanks.

Ouch - I hope you can get it fixed as it'd be a shame for such a rare cleaner to be used as spares...

How bad is crumbled?. You could glue it with modeler's glue. I see that there is a plate on the top so a lot of "shoring up" could be done inside and not visible from the outside.

Epoxy, sandpaper and paint....especially if it's a rare item. I epoxied LUX wheels some ten yrs ago that were smashed and use the vacuum to this day. It's an art using epoxy though; how well you mix, how long you fiddle with setting part, how long you cure the repair and the epoxy itself. If you build up the inside joints you can't see, you can sandpaper the show side flush & paint.
