AWESOME! I wish I found a vacuum for christmas. :) THAT BUGEYE IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!! Doesn't surprise me it won an award. Looks new! |

Hey thanks guys.....I'll enjoy "fiddling," as it were, with the new found toy. Had several of the older Kirby models years ago and regrettably let them go. So happy to find one again.
The bug-eye got the ribbon nearly 9 years ago at the Milwaukee convention. It didn't look like that when it was discovered rusting and corroding in a damp concrete warehouse. I'm very happy with any of the old vacuums I've been blessed with. ;-) Thank you for your comments. |

If I'm not mistaken, the replacement bag is that of a Kirby model 514. Notice the brown belt lifter and Sani-enptor door perhaps off a D-50. The olive headlamp trim is courtesy a D-80. Those or some of what I meant by having mis-matched parts. I'll have to take my time shopping for some original parts, but it's actually a nice machine as it stands.
