I agree with William.

It could have been made in a metal shop somewhere for the local dealer. My dad taught Agricultural Education for twenty seven years. He could practically wield anything in his shop.

Just a wild guess here but, as the long slot in it goes part way up the one side and is wider at the other end, could it have been an accessory tray that sat over the handle on the model 30, something like the tool saddles?

Could it

have been used for milk deliveries on the front doorstep?

It looks to me like the front part of an illuminated sign

This is a puzzler alright. I think Doug is on the right track; the center slot cutout does look suspiciously handle accommodating.

I see it as the local Wichita dealer's mold model for a casting machine that would make accessory caddy trays from injected plastic...or it is the cast final metal tray that has not yet been de-flashed and painted. You would want to read the Electrolux logo properly and the webbing would keep tools from falling through.

It could be a painting mask for a neon sign plexi face panel but that's a lot of heavy metal for such a minor purpose. Similarly, any neon or lamp inside that box would light up the logo backwards.

You should go back, get it, Jason, and eBay it...or offer it up on the Forum. I'd want it.

It's hard to see well but that little silver sticker on the left hand side looks a lot like something you'd see on a piece of electrical equipment. Like a vacuum, for example.

That makes me think It may have been part of an illuminated sign. Cast metal for such a thing, though? Seems like overkill, so I don't know...
