So today I finished cleaning up my Hoover 700 and my Electrolux XXX. I took apart and oiled some of the parts on the Hoover then cleaned everything. Then after that I put a black Belden cord on it instead of the white Convertible one it had, Now it runs great! As for the Lux I polished almost all the metal, cleaned the inside and outside and cleaned the attachments. And also I hand washed both the Hoover and the Lux bag.

Eventually I will get around to polishing the Hoover but for right now I think it looks just fine!

Here are some pics! Enjoy!

Trevor

Great job

I can tell that black cord looks much better than the white one would have, did you salvage that off of another machine?

I was amazed when I took different grades of steel wool to the rear end of my model 30. It took years off of its appearance. Keep up the good work Trevor!
