I picked this up this morning for $15 - brought it home and did a little cleaning. How do you get the hood off of these? Are screws on the bottom holding it on? The light lens is loose and I want to try to secure it. Any hints are greatly appreciated!

cut a wad of hair off the fan and from the middle of the brushroll, but I haven't even fired it up yet. It's such an ugly color that it's almost beautiful!

Hoover 707

is one of my favorite covertibles.Mainly, for the color.I know not everyone likes that pea green color and the plaid two toned green bag.
What I did on the lens was to use the felt stick on round tabs and that help. You will to cut them and make adjustments.Good luck on your spa clean up. Michael

Great find! There are two screws on the bottom of the cleaner that hold the hood on. After you remove those it comes right off. Hope that helps.
