Here is my Kenmore I bought last weekend for $5 after I have cleaned it. It's in great condition and runs well. The only issue is the hose and filter have a funny odor even though I washed them.

Does anyone know how to put more than one link or photo hosted on another site
onto one post? Or do I need to be upgraded for that?

The vacuum and dust compartment separated. The wheel is a crank to knock the dust off the filter.

Dust compartment and filter separated. The mesh filter is the prefilter.

The attachments. Note the wands attach outside the handle, but the attachments slide into the handle or wand. Both wands must be on to use the attachments on the end.

One weird thing I noticed. I took apart the floor tool to clean it, and it was all stuffed full of dust.

Also, the previous owner wrote on the manual that it was purchased in June 1983, at half price for $49.00.

This is a pretty powerful vacuum, the floor nozzle picks up my rugs and sticks to the carpet when cleaning.

Missed one. I notice this vacuum doesn't have the longer dusting brush, but the manual doesn't show it, so I guess it didn't have one.

The long gauge on top of the handle is the dust indicator, the pedal on the bottom rewinds the cord. The power switch is on the back, dust container release on the front.

I had a hitachi stowaway like that. It was quite powerful and very ahead of its time. I still have the attachments but the machine was past its time.
