Tried my luck at a local auction today, walked away with this Lux and the Singer. Best part about it, they were won for a buck a piece as no one else in attendence desired them. The Singer will definately clean up nicely!

Lux. this appears to be one of the later ones due to the plastic type carrying strap. Can anyone tell me the year approximately?

I believe that Singer is a well sought-after unit. I'm thinkin' about 1948-49 on the Lux maybe.

Just how many sweepers do you have now?

I saw your last thread - your Dad picked up forty-seven Model "L's" for you.

48 Rick... It was 48 :) Gosh how many... Well I would have to say close to 100 but I have been thinning out the collection a bit. Do you know the production run of these Singers by chance?

Sorry - I do not know the slightest thing about Singers at all

Your Electrolux looks like its from either 1948 or 49. I have a '49 lux model 30, and it looks identical.

It's production started in 1959.  A powerful and fun machine to use.

Singer

It should be about the 58/59 time line.

Hey Derek:

What model is the singer. They used a similar body style for the C2 - (1958-59), C3 - (1959-1961), and the C5 (1962-?)
