I was in Lowes the other day, and they were putting out Christmas decorations, so I thought I'd bring out my recently restored X-mas vac. My Kirby Dual 'S A N T A' tronic!!!. A Kirby trimmed in red would be more appropriate, but I like the name of this one. Sorry I don't have any before pics, I polished this with a machine , and had to sand out a lot of scratches on the nozzle. Would have brought it to the convention, but would have been a pain to pack and ship.

Very nice job there, I do like the Sanitronics, so small and light compared to later models, and just as effective too... :)

Makes me wish I hadn't packed up my D80 for moving house already... :(

Tom,

I've got that same model.

It's my favorite Sanitronic even though we had a D80 growing up.

I had mine machine polished by Terry in Racine..

He's our local machine polishing resource.

Beautiful holiday vac.

Enjoy and thanks for sharing.

Also, it was great meeting you at convention.

Hope to see you in Portland.

psf

Tom, you did a fantastic job on that Kirby.  The Dual 50 is one of my all time favorites.  I just love the way the Kirby logo lights up.  Thanks for sharing.  Terry

Very stunning indeed. I am with Terry. One of my favorites! Definitely a "kirbys best" design with this.

Beautiful machine! Maybe I need to print out some of those pics and stick them to my wall maybe that will get me motivated to tear down the 2 Sanitronic VII's I have sitting in the garage...

The Dual Sanitronic 80 would've worked for this occasion since it is colored green.

Great looking Sanitronic and GREAT photos - those could go right into a 2012 vacuum calendar!

Great shots, Tom. That is a very pretty machine. You've given me ideas for Christmas....why not wind some lights around our vacuums and use them instead of Christmas trees? Much more festive! John L.

Tom, you did a great job on that Kirby, it's also one of my favorites. I am in the process of restoring my Dual 50 now. I'm kind of stuck now as my buffer died and I'm trying to figure out what to do for a new one. Thanks for sharing.

That Dual Sanitronic system model 50 is so nifty!

Gorgeous! My favorite Kirby ever! The tight-spaced bag ovals, the lighted logo, the "gold plated" belt lifter, the whole thang! Congrats, great job restoring it also!
