I got this vacuum cleaner today form my backalley somne one was just throwing it out and I saw it and now its mine i would just like to know a little more about it and if any one had one I would love to see some pics and some history thanks. Zach

I believe that's called the G.E.Tidy. I don't remember the model number; G.E.'s numbers are always long. AVG-2323345235446532392 or something like that! Cute little machine.

Looks to be a (I *believe*) 1940s GE Tidy. Dont quote me on the age, though.

That looks like an AVT 160A from 1947. A friend in Florida sent me one for my collection a few years back.

Fore-runner

Nice Vac! That was the fore-runner to the GE/Premier Vac-Kit of the 30's, I believe, that has been on The Forum not too long ago! (The earlier ones were a round TANK as opposed to the GE Tidy being essentially square.) They're fun!
