Hello - I've found an old Kirby at a garage sale and the owner says its a Dual Sanitronic 50, but I'm not sure.. They want $10 for the vacuum (broken fan blade) and $75 for all the attachments. I offered $40 for the whole lot. |

I think there is a lot of mismatched parts. Could be a D50 maybe not. Has the wrong light cap if it is, as well as belt lifter. Trim looks a bit off too, maybe.... |

I don't think that is a Dual 50..............the Dual 50 had the oval plastic insert in the light cap that lit up, "Kirby", when you turned it on. It was the only Kirby made to have that feature.
It also has a bojack conversion bag adapter, (and bojack bag), so it can take disposable bags. The 50 had a sani-emptor and shake out cloth bag. The front wheels are mismatched. They should both be of the small size--so it could be a wrong axle size. And with a broken fan? They should PAY you to take it away for them! I think a vac shop must have done a rebuild using the tan trim. The box shown has the red logo and red handi-butler cable. They must have combined parts from 2 or more vacuums to make this usable. |

If it's got the original warranty paperwork, could I send it in for a factory rebuild? |

I'm lucky I found this website - I was at the ATM taking out money and ready to drive a half hour to pick up that Kirby, but I checked here first and came to my senses. |

I would LOVE to have the red belt lifter off of the nozzle in the box!!! That would look great on my 512!! |

I passed on it - I never even saw it in person, just emailed the seller and was going to go pick it up. I told him I'd sleep on it and get back to him on Sunday if I was still interested. |

I agree that it's a lot of mishmash and certainly not a D50. |
