This is a Hoover Convertible that has hardly been used! It has a few scratches on the very front and it has a blue stain on the cover above the head light. It comes with original manuel with the purchase date of 3/23/85! What was funny was that I changed the bag on it and it had the date of 3/28/96 on it. I got the tools also with it and they have never been used!

The stain on the vacuum.

Yes I posted it on Ebay. I love going out and finding vacuums to bring into my life and be able to pass them on. A few I will keep though!!!

VERY NICE!

I have that same model. I love it. Its my only plastic base convertible. The only style I like for plasty convertibles is this one.

Mine is not nearly as nice! Has a hole in the bag. base is pretty good though.

Didnt know that was a headlight. Thought it was just a plastic cover.

dear ben that was the last edition of this model u4317....u4317 was first introduced in early 1982 as a replacement for the bottom fill u4309 from 1980... your unit as symbolized with the white plastic nozzle adjustment lever of spring of 1984 was the last edition of this convertible...... carring this unit into the 1984 time frame before being replaced in march 1985 with the models u4369 in blue and u4379 in tan with a new updated bag stripe as per the tag on my hoover models and samples uprights

My aunt has that one!

Her attachments have the better, tuflex hose.  She bought it at a now closed  wonderful dept store, "The Globe Store" in Scranton.  She now uses it on her porch as she bought an "Elite".  She hated the tool hookup.  I have one, too.   I DO like that model a lot.  Aunt "Lizzie"  got hers w/ tools for $85.00.  Not bad at all.
