Check around at vacuum shops-they may have used ones or ones in stock that didn't sell.I payed considerably less than $1400 for mine-the dealer didn't want to charge full list price for the Powercast-since the Kirby folks sell new Kirbys for less-and the Kirby is a better machine. There are two beat up ones at a vac shop near me-I can check on those for you if you want. They were used by a cleaning service here in town.I have seen them sold at low prices on EBAY.I have two of them but don't want to give them up.Also the Royal "Everlast" and other similar direct air machines were lighter and better-and cheaper. The Royal dealer out here sold me my two machines and the ones to a cleaning service-now the cleaning service went to other machines and the beat up ones ended back at the dealership that sold them!Thats about the only "Powercasts" he has sold.

vintageroyal611-Will ask Bill about the machines next time I see him-visit him on my days off. They are still in his shop.both are the "blue" models.Beleive one has the handle broken off-don't know the fate of the other. The one that got broken-it fell out of the cleaning service truck or something like that.At present he says he has a hard time getting parts for Powercasts.

Newsflash on the Royal Power casts at Bills-one was salvaged for a motor to fix another customers machine-the other is in storage-he is going to try to find it.Will keep up on it.Will be able to check with him again next Monday. He was saying the one in storage works except the handle latch. The latch pedal doesn't work-otherwise he says the machine works.Hopefully he can find it in his storage facility-"Coma" ward?- at the Vacuum Cleaner hospital.
