Well the vacuum is beautiful but I am not willing to spend that much money right now but I have a question why have I seen so many of these compacts new in the box like I know quite a few of u fine gentlemen have one so why are they so popular and the other color compacts arnt as popular NIB ( new in box)?

In March 2009 a guy on eBay was selling a whole bunch of NIB Compact C8's. He had some with PN's, but the green ones with the Turbine-nozzle were $150 buy it now if I remember correctly. I bought one of the green ones also. His dad or grandpa or somebody he knew used to be a Compact dealer and you had to order X amount of machines each month or they wouldn't sell them to you at all. The dealer became ill and kept ordering the machines thinking he'd be back but eventually passed away, the Compacts sat until discovered and sold on eBay.

Here's mine...

Had Compact C9s brand new in the box.  With the Eureka power nozzle to match.  Some of the C8s had the Turbinette turbine power nozzle shown above with the green machine.

Here's The Box

I have the C8 up in my sewing room.  These are wonderful machines.  Still have another one in the box in the basement.  Forgot I had it.  You don't often find treasures like this so I took advantage and bought a couple of them.  Reminds me when I found brand new rebuilt Lux model Gs from the Electrolux factory for a steal.  I bought 4.  Friends made out!

Ahhh. This thread is too much for me to take. These machines are amazing.

BTW

On the C8 picture above, it looks like there are some scratches.  There are not.  Just a reflection and bad picture.  Here is one of our lovely Tania demonstrating the machine with an outfit to match!!

Demonstrating the upholstery tool.  This lady should sell vacuums door-to-door.  Who could resist?
