i just acquired a 74?gold electrolux superj,i want to restore it to new condition,it does work at the moment,one of the belts in the head is broken,where could i get an exploded view?any tips would help i am totally "green"to vintage vaccums,thanx!

The powerhead is fairly basic. Take the two screws off of the bottom (located on the metal plate). The cover should lift off. Remove the bottom plate and brush roller. Clean off the metal bearings on either end. Re-install brushroll with new belt on shaft, place bottom plate back on the nozzle (do not put in screws) and turn the nozzle over. Remove the hood, locate the motor and remove the three screws holding down the motor. Wrap belt around motor shaft and put motor back into position. Replace three screws holding motor without completely tightening them. Make sure there is not too much or too little tension on the belt (slide the motor back a bit before you screw it in place). Tighten screws. Replace screws on bottom plate.

This may be too confusing, and I'm sure someone else can explain it in a less confusing manner...I'll upload a picture tomorrow if you like.

any pictures would help,also any advice on taking the actual vaccum itself apart cleaning and oiling moving parts would help ,much thanks for your time and response
